Communication from the Worshipful Master

Brothers,

Welcome to May. Thank you to those able to attend the Business Meeting. We enjoyed an outstanding meal, great fellowship, and a productive meeting. All participation is important and I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.

Honor has been brought to Lexington 152. Brother Mike Anderson, the creator and editor of the Monthly Lexington 152 Newsletter, Elsewhere about the Lodge, received the H. Dwight McAllister Journalism Award at the 275th Annual Communication Banquet. Brother Mike spends many hours and much energy on this Newsletter and his efforts were rewarded. We are very fortunate to have this Newsletter. The Newsletter is an outstanding tool and beyond what I thought was possible. Congratulations to Brother Mike. Job well done.

Also congratulations and welcome to Brother Stewart Robertson. Brother Stuart and his Coaches showed fortitude and determination in completing the Degrees. Thank you for the outstanding job.

Lexington 152 participated in the 8th Masonic District Outdoor Degree on the Edisto River on 5 May. Lexington 152 was well represented and performed the necessary roles with precision.

Thank you to the Brothers who participated in the painting parties on the 21th and 28th of April. The dining hall and the stairway area look much better. Thank you to the Brother who cleaned, spray painted, and reinstalled the vents in the dining hall. The little touches do make a difference. We will have a "touch up/2nd coat" painting party Monday, 14 May. The party will not last long and all are invited to attend. This will complete the painting until fall. Thanks again for the time and efforts.

Also thank you to PM Dick Kyzer. Brother Dick, with the assistance of another Brother with a bucket truck, installed flashing on the outside of the Lodge building in an effort to "block" the squirrels. Their time and efforts are appreciated.

Family Day is 19 May from 10am-1pm. We will have a bag toss contest, good fellowship, fun, and food. Cost is $10/family. Brother Mike Anderson is collecting the money. If you can make it, but have not paid, please contact Brother Mike and give him the number that will be attending. The money can be paid on 19 May. The location is Hollow Creek Community Center on Priceville Road in Gilbert between

Highways 1 and 378. I look forward to seeing you at Family Day.

Sincerely,

Mo

Worshipful Master
